The Human Side of Innovation

My background taught me to value data, evidence, and research. My experience has taught me to value authenticity and human connection.

I am fascinated by innovation, particularly in healthcare, and drawn to helping highly technical individuals develop the human skills essential for connecting with others and communicating their ideas across disciplines and to broader audiences.

I am interested in what happens within a person and between people.

01

How do highly accomplished individuals communicate across disciplines?

02

How do teams build enough trust to challenge assumptions?

03

How do leaders remain grounded when circumstances are changing?

04

How do organizations ensure that the perspectives of clinicians, patients, and caregivers are represented when new healthcare solutions are being developed?

05

And how do I translate knowledge into meaningful action?

The Meaning Behind REN

REN is more than the name of my company. It reflects how I want to work.
In Swedish, ren means clean or pure a connection to my Swedish roots and to the principles that guide my work. The name also echoes renal, reflecting where much of my work in healthcare began: in kidney care and dialysis, working alongside clinicians, industry leaders, patients, and families.
Over time,
clean has come to represent something broader.
In
Coaching, it means creating space for clarity, calm, and greater self-awareness clearing away some of the noise so we can better understand ourselves, our relationships, and the choices in front of us.
In
MedTech consulting, it means bringing that same clarity and intention to the work: honesty built on trust, clearly defined goals and expectations, transparent communication, and integrity in how we work together.
Whether I am coaching a leader, facilitating a team, or helping move an important healthcare initiative forward, I return to these principles.

Experience, Expertise & Embodied Leadership

For nearly two decades, I have had the privilege of working alongside brilliant people across healthcare and life sciences: physicians and surgeons across specialties; researchers, marketers, and biotech leaders; and patients and families whose experiences are shaped by the care, research, and innovation of these professionals. As Executive Director of Kidney Academy, I led global educational initiatives that brought together clinicians, researchers, industry leaders, and patients to advance learning and innovation.

In 2026, I also came to know healthcare from a deeply personal perspective while navigating breast cancer and receiving care at CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Colorado. I experienced firsthand the impact of exceptional care not only through clinical and surgical expertise, but also through empathy, compassion, and truly being heard. It gave me an even deeper appreciation for the human side of medicine and reinforced something I have seen throughout my career: clinical expertise is essential, but the experience of care is also profoundly shaped by empathy, communication, trust, and genuine human connection.

These experiences have shaped an essential belief that runs through my work: sustainable change is achieved not simply through strategy or expertise, but through trust, a growth mindset, and the quality of human relationships.
My undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry were followed by an MS in Management: Organizational Leadership. In 2023, I completed an Executive Certificate from MIT in Technology & Innovation Acceleration.

Complementing this work is my experience as a yoga instructor, where I teach mindfulness, breathwork, and nervous system function. These practices inform my coaching by helping people develop the presence, focus, and self-regulation needed to navigate complexity and pressure with greater awareness. Embodied leadership is not about slowing down it is about responding with greater intention, resilience, and effectiveness when the stakes are highest.

Beyond the Work

I am a mom of two teenage girls and share a full and often wonderfully busy life with my husband and best friend, Jason.
My Swedish roots remain an important part of who I am, and I return to Sweden often to spend time with family and reconnect with a place and culture I love.
At home in Colorado, you will often find me on a trail, practicing or teaching yoga, spending time outdoors with my family, or snuggling with my three doodles. Through my family's years in 4-H, I have also developed a deep appreciation for the horse-human connection and what horses can teach me about presence, trust, communication, and ourselves.

What restores me is simple: family, movement, nature, meaningful connection, and a good dose of adventure.
